My experience

Software development

After the university I started to work as software developer the IT company of the one biggest insurance company in Austria. In the time from 2000 until 2014 i worked on many projects with different technology stacks.

From 2012 I was product responsible for the online insurance POS tarif applications. In this time i worked as solution architect on the tarif application integration into the banking application of an austrian retail bank.

IT Finance Controlling with management reporting

From 2014 until 2017 I worked for the IT company of the one biggest insurance company in Austria. In the role of the financial controller I was responsible for budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial closing and financial reporting. The prozesses were based on excel sheets, SAP queries and included many manuel steps. This setup made the prozesses very complicated and error-prone.

In the middle of 2014 was decided to add IT tool support to the prozesses. We started to develop an individual software for the budgeting prozess. I overtook the roles buisness analyst, software engineer and architect. As technology stack we used C# ASP .NET and MS SQL database. The first application version started in production with the budgeting for 2015 at end of 2014.

The application got many new functions since 2014 and supports forecasting, monthly closing, HR and financial reporting. The application has data interfaces to SAP and the company project management tool (CA PPM).

IT Financial Management

Nowadays all companies have IT systems. Many companies have an IT unit or departmen, that provides IT services for the whole company. It's important to know, how much such provided services cost to make the right decission about cost cutting / outsourcing. IT financial management faces this problem and provides cost transparency about the internal IT services. Financial Management is an important part of ITIL Service Strategy Prozess.

Between July 2017 and November 2018 i worked for the helpLine IT Solutions GmbH (member of the Serviceware SE) as Senior ITFM Consultant for the anafee financial management software.
